M. Lou Marsh

Dr. Lou Marsh is the original and founding medical professional behind CF Nutrition’s product line. She created their flagship drink, CF(Preop)® while serving as the medical director for a high-volume outpatient surgery center in La Jolla, CA. Like many innovators, she saw a significant problem and set out to solve it.

Dr. Marsh received her education and training at Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins University. She has sat on the board of over a dozen organizations, holding office as both the Medical Director and Committee Chair. She has contributed to many published papers and has spoken at countless events. After treating patients as a board-certified anesthesiologist for over 45 years, and developing CF(Preop)® to improve the surgery experience for all patients, she continues to formulate and innovate with the clinical/technical team at CF Nutrition.
