Rich Applebach

Rich Applebach, CFA, FRM, currently serves as Senior Director of Finance at CFA Institute, a role held since July 2011, focusing on research and development for products in fixed income, derivatives, risk, and portfolio management while coordinating multiple product development teams globally. Prior experience includes being a Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo Capital Management, managing securitized investments in portfolios exceeding $12 billion, and leading institutional fixed income portfolios with $780 million AUM. Earlier roles include Director at Evergreen Investments, overseeing institutional core bond and high yield clients with over $3.5 billion AUM and as a Portfolio Manager at Banc of America Capital Management, responsible for over 50 institutional fixed income portfolios with a total AUM of $1 billion. Rich Applebach holds an MBA in Finance from Strome College of Business and a BS in Nuclear Science from Virginia Tech.
