Bruno Messerschmitt

Bruno Messerschmitt has extensive work experience in the field of tax and legal consulting, with a focus on Africa. Bruno currently holds the position of Head of Tax at CFAO since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at EY Société d'Avocats from 2016 to 2023, where they served as an Attorney at law/Partner, Head of Africa Desk, and Head of Algeria Tax, Legal and Transaction practices. Bruno was responsible for providing tax advice, tax audit assistance, and managing the EY Tax team in Algeria. From 2002 to 2016, Bruno worked at Deloitte France, where they held various roles including Head of Tax & Legal - Francophone Africa and Senior Manager - Tax Management Consulting. Bruno provided strategic tax consulting for multinationals and large companies operating in Africa and managed a team across 18 Francophone African countries. Bruno also had experience as In House Tax & Legal Counsel in Deloitte's Legal Department, where they worked on external growth and post-merger integration projects. Prior to joining Deloitte, they worked as an Associate at PDGB Avocats, where they provided advisory services for M&A and LBO transactions.

Bruno Messerschmitt completed their education with a Master's degree in Corporate Tax from Université Paris Dauphine in 1995. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate degree in Business law and corporate tax from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between 1989 and 1994.
