David Newsome is a Principal Engineer at CFD Research Corporation, where expertise involves adapting and developing predictive thermodynamic models for material science applications since January 2010. Previously, David served as a PostDoctoral Research Fellow at Delft Chemical Technology from June 2006 to January 2010, focusing on molecular simulations to measure the physical properties of CO2 and N2 in the zeolite ZSM-5, contributing to the development of a lattice-based model of a ZSM-5 membrane. Early career experience includes a role as a Teaching Assistant for the Unit Operations course at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2001 to January 2003. David earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006, following a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000.
