Robert Harris

Robert Harris, Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering, currently serving as Senior Principal Engineer and Group Leader at CFD Research Corporation since August 2008. In this role, Robert leads NASA-funded projects focused on high-fidelity prediction tools for launch vehicle acoustic environments, spacecraft propulsion applications, and fluid-structure interaction analysis. Prior positions at CFD Research Corporation include Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer, where Robert contributed to various Air Force and Army projects, developing advanced prediction tools for weapon systems and rotorcraft. Earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University and as a Software Engineer at Actus Potentia, Inc. Robert holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in the same field.
