Nick Kutchi, PE, LC, is a Senior Electrical Engineer and Certified Lighting Designer at CFR Engineering Consultants, Inc., where employment commenced in June 2012. Previous experience includes serving as an Electrical Engineer at Mueller Associates from November 2009 to June 2012 and working as an Architectural Lighting Design Engineer at Brinjac Engineering from July 2008 to September 2009. Nick Kutchi earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with a focus on Lighting and Electrical Building Design from Penn State University, completing the degree in 2008, and attended DeMatha Catholic High School from 1999 to 2003.

CFR, established in 2006, is a small business enterprise located in Germantown, Maryland. We are a federal small, SWaM certified, and Montgomery County local small business offering comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering for projects of varying size and complexity. We specialize in highly complex healthcare, research, and laboratory design. Our experience includes a wide range of facilities for a diverse clientele. To date our largest client includes The National Institutes of Health (NIH) where we just completed a five (5) year IDIQ contract. In addition, we are currently on our second-term IDIQ contract with The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and were recently awarded an IDIQ contract with The University of Maryland and George Mason University. As a team, we have successfully performed critical development and design team roles for over 1,500 projects for multiple federal agencies and private sector clients. CFR, first and foremost, offers our clients a seasoned planning and design team with exceptionally broad experience in a multitude of engineering disciplines and market sectors.
