Omar Avellaneda, CFA, CESGA, is the Head of Research for Perú, Colombia, and Centroamérica at Compass, a position held since 2024. Previously, Omar worked as an Investment Research Associate at Prima AFP from 2017 to 2024, and as a Senior Investment Analyst at Banco de Crédito BCP from 2011 to 2012, where they focused on multiple sectors including sugar and fishing. Omar also served as the Deputy Manager of Investment Analysis at Credicorp Capital from 2012 to 2014 and was the Economic and Business Subeditor at El Comercio from 2015 to 2016. Omar holds a degree from Universidad del Pacífico, completed in 2016.
