Clarke Gittens Farmer (CGF) is the pre-eminent legal firm in Barbados with a practice that encompasses Barbados, the wider Caribbean, and beyond, and which provides associated services through its several service companies.

When we say CGF has the best people to have your back, this is not an idle boast. We have a dedicated team of lawyers and support staff over 80 strong, including over 25 highly experienced attorneys and consultants admitted to practice across the English-speaking Caribbean.

CGF has the additional distinction and honour of being selected as the Barbados member of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms with in-depth experience in more than 125 countries.

Our scope as a full service, one stop shop is unparalleled, with 5 dedicated specialist practice areas with strong regional and international links. Any legal issue that arises can be handled effectively and efficiently by our dedicated team.

Clarke Gittens Farmer was formed in 2002 by the merger of Clarke & Co. with the practice of T. David Gittens and Stephen W. Farmer. Focused on a mission to build Barbados the largest and most outstanding firm of lawyers, the resulting firm has retained this combination of wisdom and driving mission as its legal DNA, providing excellent service at the highest international standards.

Since inception, CGF has developed an enviable reputation for high quality, thoughtful work across all its practice areas. The CGF team also understands the difference between merely giving our clients a legal viewpoint and offering them commercial solutions on which to base their decision making. We do not give esoteric advice but practical, well thought out advice that works - the kind of advice and follow-up that moves your matter or business forward, while ensuring we have your back.
