John George Stoltz is a renowned technical strategist. He has successfully trained and implemented innovative management and business development strategies, which include multidiscipline strategy development, lean manufacturing, financial and supply chain principles to both international multinational corporations and also local small and medium enterprises.
He accumulates over 40 years of experience in various fields of business disciplines and industries, including 25 years of exposure to the financial fields from auditor’s clerk to Financial Director, spending 10 years as Secretary Finance with the Trade Union followed by 14 years of Managerial & consulting expertise.
His extensive portfolio of experience covers a wide range of consulting/training engagements within the technical manufacturing, agriculture, education, financial services, government, manufacturing, mining, retail heavy equipment, security (military), utilities and consumer industries within Africa, Australasia, Europe and the Middle East.
As Operational Director on an outsourced contract, over a period of two years, John set up a Procurement office that maintains the organisational OPEX demand for procurement supply which incorporated CAPEX development creating and managing the POP on CAPEX deliverables.
As project Manager, John has extensive application experience across industries and functional disciplines exposures to mention: is within a multinational Gas and Oil company establishing Supporting Group Supply Chain Manager in Strategy, Structures Policies and Processes while developing Supply Chain Contract Management for Africa, covering 18 African countries on mining development and oil and energy trading. The exposure related towards development in Angolan of an open cast mine, a charcoal plant and a port under an EPCM using FIDIC as a base and develop Bespoke agreements formats to contract with supplier. Total value $1billion USD. A metallurgical plant for a gold mine, $60million USD. Project procurement reflects an outsourcing agreement on Procurement Project office for a mine redevelopment and alignment $20mill USD. A supply chain revitalization project in heavy industry retail as well as the mining industry. The construction was a mixture of FIDIC and NEC with only FIDIC Claims process applied.
Mr Stoltz is currently the Managing Director of GBS Associations which render services cross-border in Aviation, supply training cross-border and managing technical projects. He is also a Technical Strategy Consultant at the International Institute of Human Capital, a member of Marcus Evans Group. Prior these roles, he served as a Shareholder/Executive Member in GEMS Supply Chain Solutions CC.
John is a life member of the International Academy of Project Management and a Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP™). Again, He is a member of Charted Procurement and Supply Institute, Institute Internal Auditors (IIA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CMA currently working towards CGMA).
John holds a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from UNISA as well as a Baccalaureus in Management Leadership from the University of the Free State. He has a National Diploma in Internal Auditing from Tshwane University of Technology.
