Carlos Lyons

Carlos Lyons has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and compliance. Carlos is currently serving as the Senior Vice President Chief Information Security and Compliance Officer at CGS (Computer Generated Solutions) since November 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President Global Chief Information Security and Compliance Officer at the same company from October 2019 to November 2023.

Before joining CGS, Carlos worked at Information Builders as a Cyber ISO from December 2018 to October 2019. Carlos also served as an Advisory Virtual CISO at KPMG Global Services (KGS) from October 2015 to November 2018. During their time at KPMG US from October 2015 to October 2016, they focused on cyber risk threat intelligence, cloud security architecture, compliance, and governance.

Carlos has also held positions at Independent Living Systems as the Director IT Information Security and Compliance, Univita Health Inc as the VP IT Cyber Security, Compliance, and Governance, Barclay's Wealth Management Latin America Shared Services as the Cyber Security and Compliance Assurance Lead Architect, and Microsoft Corporation as a Senior Program Manager Information Security.

Carlos Lyons obtained a BSEE degree from Universidad de Los Andes. Carlos also holds various certifications including Proofpoint Certified Ransomware Specialist 2023, Cybersecurity Leadership Certification from Proofpoint, Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions from Microsoft, Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA, Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2, and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA.
