Michael Doniger has a diverse work experience, ranging from the military to the energy industry. Michael co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer at Chaberton Energy, where they oversaw the development of solar energy projects. Prior to that, they co-founded and was the Managing Director at Piedmont Resources, where they focused on waste sorting and processing facilities. Michael also worked at Amazon as a General Manager, where they implemented various operational improvements. Before this, they held multiple roles at Enviva LP, including Director of Corporate Development and Director of Operations. Michael began their career in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and later served as a Senior Operations Manager and Operations Planner. Michael started their career at Mamaroneck Garage as a Service Writer and Assistant Manager.
Michael Doniger completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Systems Engineering at the United States Naval Academy from 1995 to 1999. Michael then pursued a Master of Science (MS) equivalent degree in Nuclear Engineering at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Program from 1999 to 2000. Later, from 2001 to 2004, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. In 2015 to 2017, Michael pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Certified Lean Thinking Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Lean Facilitator, OSHA 30 hr General Industry Safety & Health Certificate, Private Pilot's License, and Six Sigma Green Belt.
