Gerald McKeegan is an experienced professional in the aerospace sector with a strong background in space systems and quality control. Currently serving as an Adjunct Astronomer at the Chabot Space & Science Center since March 2000, Gerald operates telescopes and presents in the planetarium. Previously, as Space Systems Program Manager at Orcon Aerospace from May 1995 to March 2017, responsibilities included coordinating the manufacture, testing, and sales of insulation materials for aerospace applications and developing pricing models. Early in their career, Gerald managed a laboratory focused on quality control for aircraft and spacecraft manufacturing at Dexter Aerospace from January 1975 to April 1991. Gerald holds an M.S. in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota and a B.S. in Finance from California State University - East Bay.
