Patrick Shaughnessey Collins (Shaun)

Patrick Shaughnessey Collins, known as Shaun, has a robust background in engineering and a commitment to education and community involvement. Currently serving as a Volunteer and Challenger Learning Center Crew Member at Chabot Space & Science Center since November 2014, Patrick operates telescopes and is in training for advanced equipment. Previously, Patrick worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at BAE Systems from August 2004 to November 2010, focusing on product development for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle's Mobility Systems using ProE and Mechanica. Prior experience includes holding the position of Vice President at Leapfrog Technologies, Inc. Additionally, Patrick holds a Master's degree in Applied Mechanics from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
