Pieter van Maren

Pieter van Maren has a diverse background in finance and leadership roles. Pieter most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at ChainCraft since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at Shell Recharge Solutions (formerly NewMotion) from December 2019 to May 2023. Earlier in their career, Pieter worked at Shell Nederland Chemie B.V. as the Finance Director from September 2016 to November 2019. Pieter also worked at Shell Chemicals Europe B.V. as the Global Finance Manager - Solvents & Phenol from January 2014 to October 2016. Before joining Shell, Pieter held various roles at Shell Nederland Verkoopmaatschappij B.V., Shell Upstream International in Moscow, Shell Projects & Technology, and Heineken. Pieter's expertise lies in financial management, controls, and performance evaluation.

Pieter van Maren began their education in 1997 at Universidad de Cantabria (Santander), although the field of study is unknown. Pieter then attended Delft University of Technology in 1998, studying Chemical Technology. In 1999, they enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics, which they finished in 2005. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), where they pursued an Executive Master in Finance and Control (Registered Controller).
