Natalie Somersall

Natalie Somersall is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in solutions engineering and public sector technology. As a Principal Solutions Engineer at Chainguard since February 2024, Natalie focuses on building Federal sales and facilitating proof of concepts for complex containerized applications. Previously, as a Senior Solutions Engineer at GitHub, Natalie partnered with security-conscious customers to address their development and compliance needs, successfully automating infrastructures and rolling out application security programs. Natalie's earlier role as Lead Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton involved consolidating developer tools under compliance frameworks and leading Linux infrastructure operations for cybersecurity. With a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering & Management from Virginia Tech, Natalie also has experience as an adjunct instructor and a field engineer.
