Nghia Tran began their career in 2004 as a Research Assistant at IDeA Labs. In 2007, they joined Amazon.com as a Software Development Engineer and then a Software Development Engineer Intern. In 2013, they moved to Google as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the Google Container Registry and was a Technical Lead for the Jenkins for Google Cloud effort. In 2017, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead and Knative Workgroup Lead, leading the Networking workgroup of the Knative project. In 2020, they joined Microsoft as a Principal Software Engineer for the Azure Office of CTO Incubations. Currently, they are a Senior Engineering Manager at Chainguard, where they have developed Chainguard Enforce to help organizations effectively manage their software supply chain.
Nghia Tran obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Brigham Young University between 2002 and 2006.
