Challenges Abroad
Challenges Abroad provides structured overseas programmes for young adults which support the goals and objectives of the international development charity the FutureSense Foundation (FSF). We pride ourselves on doing more than just sending individuals abroad on a community development programme. We invest in our participants, providing them the support and opportunities to learn through the experience and become better global citizens. We offer community based alternative breaks, internships, and university lead study abroad programmes designed to strengthen individuals' skills while making a meaningful impact abroad. Our unique Challenge Leader role also provides the opportunity to recruit your own team and lead a group of passionate individuals abroad. Our registered charity, the FutureSense Foundation is at the heart of what we do. The FutureSense Foundation works across six destinations with a development focus aligned to the UN Goals for Sustainable Development mainly in the areas of education, health and wellbeing, social enterprise and the environment. The charity provides support to local communities through a range of long-term programmes including conversational English, teacher training, life skills enhancement, health promotion and livelihood support initiatives including the development of local social enterprise. Challenges Abroad programmes are always developed in partnership with our charity and local grassroots partners to ensure we are part of a long-term vision and creating sustainable change in the areas where we work.
