Shadan Azali

Director, Development at Chamber of Digital Commerce

Shadan Azali is the Director of Development at Chamber of Digital Commerce. Prior to their current position, Azali worked as a Business Development Consultant at The Arcview Group from July 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they were the Head of Government Affairs and Business Development at Dimer UVC Innovations from January 2020 to September 2020. Azali also served as the Chief Business Development Officer at Coral Protocol from January 2019 to January 2020, where they were responsible for monitoring developments in philanthropy and social investing, international economic development, and cross-sector partnerships designed to achieve social goals. In their role at Coral Protocol, Azali also supported the CEO in developing the annual conference agenda by drafting the framework and identifying themes, identifying potential speakers, and serving as the main liaison for the conference. Additionally, they contributed to the development of the Global Philanthropy Forum’s strategic plan, coordinated innovative public-private partnerships in collaboration with U.S. Government entrepreneurship initiatives, including additionally as a delegate to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley, and served as a principal liaison for the U.S. Secretary of State Strategic Dialogue with Civil Society to build philanthropy strategy. Azali also oversaw outreach efforts which include identifying donor networks, foundations, government agencies, and/or corporations that are potential Global Philanthropy Forum members, designed program budgets and wrote financial reports for current Global Philanthropy Forum supporters, and conducted research for the CEO’s public speaking and media appearances.

Shadan Azali has a Master of Public Administration from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs with a focus in Environmental Science & Policy. They also have a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy from Antioch College.
