Julie Dagenais has extensive experience in the field of financial security and legal practice. Since August 2006, Julie has held various positions at the Chambre de la sécurité financière, including Senior Assistant Syndic, Assistant Syndic, and Lawyer in Disciplinary Affairs, focusing on analyzing disciplinary cases, advising investigators, preparing files and hearings, and managing internal procedures with external prosecutors. Prior to this, from November 2002 to May 2005, Julie served as a Financial Security Advisor at Financière Sun Life, where responsibilities included evaluating clients' financial situations, developing appropriate strategies, and underwriting life insurance and collective savings products. Julie Dagenais holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Université de Montréal (1998-2001) and furthered knowledge through the Canadian Securities Institute in 2019.

Mission The mission of the Chambre de la sécurité financière is to protect consumers by maintaining discipline and overseeing the training and ethics of nearly 32,000 members who work in five sectors and registration category, that is, group savings plan brokerage, financial planning*, insurance of persons, group insurance of persons and scholarship plan brokerage. The Chambre carries out its mission by stringently monitoring the practices and continuously upgrading the knowledge of these professionals.
