Daniel Steffey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and computer science education. Currently serving as a Vulnerability Researcher at Chameleon Consulting Group LLC since November 2022, Daniel specializes in identifying software vulnerabilities through reverse engineering and black box testing. Daniel also holds an Adjunct Professor position at the University of Maryland Global Campus since January 2019, teaching various programming languages to undergraduate students. Previous roles include DEVOPS Officer in Charge for the US Army's Army Red Team, Deputy Chief of Technical Services at the National Security Agency, and various leadership positions within the US Army focusing on network engineering and operations. Daniel earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
