Bill Behrends

Bill Behrends is an experienced educator with a career spanning over 17 years, currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Champaign Unit 4 Schools since January 2016. Bill specializes in instructional design, collaboration, and data analysis while demonstrating strong skills in student management, supervision, tutoring, and student assessment. Prior to this role, Bill worked at Mattoon High School from August 2006 to December 2015, where responsibilities included teaching, athletic coaching, mentoring, and department leadership efforts aimed at school improvement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Learning Design and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2017-2019), a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Eastern Illinois University (2012-2014), a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2005-2006), and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Bradley University (2001-2004).
