Champaign Unit 4 Schools
Christina Japuntich is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in various educational settings, currently serving in the Essential Skills Classroom at Champaign Unit 4 Schools since June 2018. Previous roles include Special Education Teacher at Oakwood Junior High School and student teacher in different functional life skills and cross-categorical classrooms. Christina has implemented evidence-based curricula, facilitated functional behavior assessments, and developed individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse disabilities. Additionally, Christina has contributed to recreational programs for individuals with disabilities and has pursued ongoing professional development, including a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and currently working towards a Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
