Dean Kamps is an experienced educator specializing in social studies with a career spanning various teaching roles in middle and high schools. Since August 2017, Dean has served as a Social Studies Teacher at Champaign Central High School and previously at Edison Middle School. Additionally, Dean is the Head Track and Field Coach at University Laboratory High School and is certified as a USATF Level 2 Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach. Prior teaching experiences include positions at several junior high schools, where Dean taught subjects ranging from U.S. history to world history, while also coaching football and track and field. Dean's educational background includes a Master of Science in History and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Social Science Teacher Education from Illinois State University, complemented by an Associate of Arts degree. Dean's diverse teaching experiences and coaching credentials reflect a dedicated commitment to student engagement and academic excellence.
