Saheli Roy

Doctoral Researcher at Champalimaud Foundation

Saheli Roy is a Doctoral Researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation, actively engaged in the International Neuroscience & Physiology Doctoral Program since September 2021. Previously, Roy worked at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, where research efforts focused on developmental gene expression in Caenorhabditis elegans. With a solid foundation in behavioral neurogenetics from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, the MS thesis examined the role of circadian clock cells in Drosophila melanogaster. Additional experience was gained through various summer internships, including synthetic biology and computational biology projects, and roles that involved literature database management and content writing. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Biological Science from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre and a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Presidency University.
