Trey Willis

Trey Willis is an experienced educational professional with a strong background in program management, community engagement, and teaching. Currently serving as the Director for the Fight for Literacy Games at Champions for Literacy, Trey has successfully increased program participation by 115% over two seasons. Previously, as Chief Operating Officer and Dean of Community Engagement at Believe Memphis Academy Charter School, significant efforts were made to assist families during the pandemic with housing, utility support, and virtual learning resources. As a Founding Teacher and Lead Grade 5 Math Teacher, Trey achieved notable academic growth in math, ranking second among Memphis elementary schools according to the TVAAS. Trey's career also includes roles as a teacher within the Memphis-Shelby County Schools and as a resident teacher in the Memphis Teacher Residency program, complemented by a progression from early employment in the service and athletic coaching sectors. Trey holds a Master of Education in Urban Education from Union University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Teacher Education from The University of Memphis.
