Diane Adjavon

Diane Adjavon is a Research Scientist specializing in AI and Machine Learning at Biohub since September 2025, having previously worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Howard Hughes Medical Institute from November 2021 to November 2025. Diane completed a PhD at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on quantifying yeast cells' responses to sudden starvation using time-lapse fluorescent microscopy and Convolutional Neural Networks from September 2018 to September 2022. Prior to this, Diane was a Research Intern at Orange, working on packet processing in the Linux kernel from March 2017 to September 2022. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Science in Complex Systems from École normale supérieure de Lyon, and multiple master's degrees in Computer and Information Systems Security and Telecommunications from ETH Zürich, EURECOM, and Télécom Paris.
