Maximilian Lombardo

Maximilian Lombardo is an experienced professional in computational biology and product management, currently serving as a Senior Computational Biologist/Product Manager at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since November 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Computational Biologist at Kallyope and a Machine Learning Research Graduate Research Intern at IBM, where Maximilian applied techniques for drug repositioning in brain cancer and developed project strategies for team collaboration. Maximilian's career also encompasses a Data Science and Digital Marketing Graduate Internship at Merck KGaA, where impactful retention strategies were co-developed, as well as community development work at ACE Venture Lab focusing on high-tech entrepreneurship. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computational Science from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Arts in Biotechnology from Columbia University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Siena College.
