Krishna Kurthkoti is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor at Chanakya University since December 2023. Prior to this role, Krishna has been a DBT Ramalingaswami Faculty Fellow at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre For Biotechnology since July 2017, and held the position of CSIR Pool Scientist at the Indian Institute of Science from July 2016 to May 2017. Krishna's extensive postdoctoral experience includes research at Rutgers University and Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, focusing on iron homeostasis in mycobacteria and innate immune responses using Drosophila as a model system, respectively. Krishna earned a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the Indian Institute of Science, complemented by an M.Sc in Microbiology and a B.Sc in Chemistry, Botany, and Microbiology from Bangalore University.
