Don began working in the field of Developmental Disabilities, in the State of New York in the 1975 at the Jefferson County ARC, later to be known as the Jefferson Rehabilitation Center in Watertown, NY. He worked as a Floor Supervisor, in the Sheltered Workshop, and later moved to the Adult Day Program as a Group Leader. After 15 years Don left to pursue a career in the music business, and eventually moved to Arizona. After several years of traveling the Western US and living in Santa Barbara California and then Austin, TX, he returned to Arizona and returned to working in the field of Developmental Disabilities, with a company called CPES, as supervisor of the Eden Day program in Tempe, AZ. From there he began working for the Division of Developmental Disabilities, first as a Support Coordinator, eventually as a Unit Supervisor, and after 15 years, retiring as a Program Manager for District East of the Division. Don currently enjoys working on his current music project, an acoustic Trio called Trio Rio, recording, and playing various venues around the valley. Don enjoys serving on the Chandler Gilbert Arc Board of Directors and every other Monday morning can be found playing music with his wife Claudia at the Chandler Gilbert Arc Day Program.
