Maggie Q. Ren possesses extensive experience in the automotive engineering sector, currently serving as a Transmission Modelling and Simulation Engineer at Changan UK R&D Centre Limited since February 2011, specializing in the use of Matlab/Simulink for developing TCU controller and plant models to conduct various tests. From April 2005 to May 2011, Maggie contributed as a Research Fellow at the University of Sunderland's Institute for Automotive and Manufacturing Advanced Practice, focusing on R&D and technology transfer projects as a Project Engineer. Prior to this, from January 2003 to March 2005, Maggie was a Visiting Fellow at the Resource Centre for Innovation & Design at Newcastle University, engaging in diverse design projects. Maggie earned a PhD in Automotive Engineering from the University of Sunderland between 2006 and 2010.
