Melinda Briana Epler has been active in the tech industry since 2009, beginning with their role as a Startup Advisor for multiple companies. In 2012, they founded Change Catalyst, a company that builds inclusive innovation ecosystems through training, consulting, coaching, and events. In 2015, they co-founded Tech Inclusion, an organization that convenes the tech industry to drive solutions to diversity and inclusion. Melinda Briana is also a member of 37 Angels and a part of the Rise of the Rest Expert Network for Revolution. In 2018, they became Program Director for the Backstage Accelerator, and in 2019 they became a Mentor for the Get Sh!t Done Accelerator. In 2020, they released their book, "How to Be an Ally: Actions You Can Take for a Stronger, Happier Workplace", and became the Live Show & Podcast Host for Leading With Empathy & Allyship. Additionally, they are an Advisor for NextBillion.org, connecting talent with disabilities to inclusive employers in tech.

Melinda Briana Epler has a diverse education background. Melinda Briana has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, Media Production program, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in Sociocultural Anthropology. Melinda Briana has also obtained two additional certifications, an Angel Investing certification from 37 Angels in 2015 and a Certified B Corporation certification from B Lab in 2013.
