Geoff Sowrey

Geoff Sowrey is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in managing digital practices and IT services across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Technology at ChangeMakers, Geoff is tasked with rebuilding digital initiatives under prominent entrepreneurial leadership. Prior roles include Manager of Service and Support Platforms at Shaw Communications, where Geoff led the development of customer self-service portals during the COVID-19 crisis, and Manager of Information Systems at Travel Alberta, achieving significant cost savings through optimization of technology services. Geoff's earlier experiences encompass managing web services at the University of Calgary and leading technology efforts for notable organizations like The Evans Hunt Group and Critical Mass. Holding a Bachelor's degree in English Rhetoric and Professional Writing with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, along with further education at the University of Calgary, Geoff combines technical expertise with strategic vision.
