Ian Davis

Ian Davis has had an extensive work experience since 1999, beginning with a role as a Localisation Engineer/Automation Engineer at Lionbridge. Ian then moved to Prime Carrier as a Software QA Engineer in 2006, followed by Avaya in 2007 as a Software QA Engineer/Test Designer. In 2014, they joined SQA Consulting Limited as a Senior Test Analyst, and in 2015 they became a Senior Software Test Engineer at Wood Group. Ian's most recent role is Senior Software QA Engineer at Channel Mechanics, which they have held since 2022.

Ian Davis attended University College Cork from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.). Ian then returned to University College Cork from 1997 to 1998 to receive a Higher Diploma in Computer Science. In 2006, they attended Sound Training Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin, where they earned a Certificate in Sound Engineering and Music Technology. Ian followed this up with a Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Technology from Multimedia Music Techniques Institute in 2007-2008. In 2012, they were awarded a Certified Software Tester from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). In 2015, they completed a Radio Programme Production course at Galway Technical Institute, in the field of Media Production.
