Kiran Shannon

Kiran Shannon currently serves as the Head of Communications for Drama, Comedy, and Acquisitions at Channel 4, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Kiran worked at BBC from February 2015 to July 2023, where roles included Communications Manager for Drama, Head of Communications for Radio 1, 1Xtra & Asian Network (on secondment), and Communications Manager for various high-profile programs such as The Biggest Weekend and Strictly Come Dancing. Additionally, Kiran was a Publicist in the Comedy and Entertainment sector. Earlier career stages included positions as Communications Officer for Global Markets at BBC Worldwide and Publicist at Channel 4. Kiran's experience in the industry began as a PR & Marketing Manager at Boudiche. Kiran holds a degree in Communications, Advertising and Public Relations from Edinburgh Napier University and completed education at Greenock Academy.
