Channel Operations Manager at Channel 5

Peter Barcock has a diverse work experience history. Peter began their career at BBC Worldwide in 2008, where they held various roles, including Temp, Contract Administrator, and Royalties Assistant, before leaving in 2011. Peter then joined Rise Group as an Asset Migration Editor for a few months. In 2012, they returned to BBC Worldwide as a Project Analyst on a temporary contract. Later that year, they joined Channel 5 as a Junior Scheduler, responsible for scheduling content for the 5* and 5USA channels. Peter then became a Presentation Scheduler for Channel 5, where they managed the scheduling process and worked closely with sales and program planning teams. In 2016, they were promoted to a Senior Scheduler, rotating between the main Channel 5 channel and its sister channels. This role also involved training new members and supporting the team. In 2017, Peter had the opportunity to serve as an Acting Channel Operations Manager, assuming the responsibilities of team management and representing the department in operational meetings. This role expanded their skills in team management and allowed him to work on ad hoc projects. In 2021, they became the Acting Channel Operations Manager once again, and in 2022, they were officially appointed as the Channel Operations Manager at Channel 5.

Peter Barcock attended Gryffe High School from 1998 to 2004, but did not receive any degrees or specialize in any specific field during their time there. After high school, they went on to study at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2004 to 2008. There, they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Mass Media, with a focus on media.
