Cherren Ponambalum

Cherren Ponambalum currently serves as Technical Superintendent at BOURBON since November 2023. Prior to this role, Cherren held the position of Maintenance Manager at Chantier Naval de L'Ocean Indien Ltd from March 2011 to November 2023, overseeing maintenance operations and budget management. Earlier experience includes serving as Facilities Maintenance Manager at Four Points by Sheraton from January 2010 to February 2011, and as a Marine Engineer at Tanker Pacific Management from June 2001 to December 2009, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with international regulations and maintaining various vessel systems. Cherren began a career as a Marine Engineer at PT. TRANSOCEAN MARITIME from July 1999 to May 2001. Cherren is currently pursuing a BSc in Management from the Open University of Mauritius, expected to complete in August 2024, and holds a Higher National Diploma in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from City of Glasgow College.
