William Richard Byrd has a diverse work experience with a focus on data management and program administration. William Richard is currently serving as the Senior Director of Data, Compliance, and Programs Management at Chapman Partnership. In this role, they oversee the spending decisions for a $5,000,000 grant and manages multiple organizational outcomes.
Prior to this, William worked at Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers, where they held several positions of increasing responsibility, including Broward Programs Director and Program Supervisor. In these roles, they were responsible for financial management, program administration, and strategic planning. William Richard also achieved high housing placement rates and supervised a large team of employees.
William also has experience as a Resident Monitor/Case Manager at Riverside House, an Internship Case-Manager at International Rescue Committee, and a Training and Development Intern at Florida International University. William Richard began their career as an Internship Meteorologist at NOAA, where they worked on climate studies and scientific research.
Throughout their career, William has demonstrated strong leadership skills, data management expertise, and a commitment to helping others.
William Richard Byrd completed their Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University, starting in 2020 and finishing in 2025. Prior to this, they obtained an MS in Human Resource Development from Florida International University, and a BA in Psychology, also from Florida International University. William has also obtained several certifications, including Bloodborne Pathogens and CPR/AED/First Aid from the National CPR Foundation in November 2022. William Richard has also completed various other certifications such as COVID-19 Contact Tracing, Cultural Humility, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate, Effective Emergency Shelter, Harm Reduction, Housing First, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB), Mobilizing Data as a Tool for Ending Homelessness: For Program Managers, Motivational Interviewing, Providing Trauma Informed Care to People Experiencing Homelessness, SOAR certification, and Trauma-Informed Care from different institutions.
