Kate Wilson Butler is currently the Director of Climate, Sustainability & ESG at Chapman Tripp. Prior to this role, Kate served as the Head of Climate Action at the Sustainable Business Council NZ and as a Senior Legal Advisor in the Environment & Resources Law division at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Kate also held various roles at the New Zealand Embassy in Berlin, including as a Diplomat and UNFCCC Lead Negotiator. Additionally, Kate worked as a Solicitor at Russell McVeagh, focusing on corporate advisory and resource management. Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws and BA in English Literature and German from Victoria University of Wellington.
