Academic Director, Social Media at Chapman University

Niklas Myhr, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience. Niklas currently serves as the Academic Director of Social Media at Chapman University, where they lead the development and implementation of a social media and digital marketing strategy. Niklas is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing at Chapman University, focusing on Internet and social media marketing. Prior to this role, they were an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Chapman University and held similar positions at American University and Tulane University.

In addition to their academic roles, Myhr has served as a Social Media Advisor and a member of the Steering Committee for the SIREUS collaboration at SACC-USA (Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce). Niklas has also worked as the Global TEDx and Keynote Speaker for TheSocialMediaProfessor.com, where they teach social media, digital, and global marketing. Furthermore, Myhr has been a member of the Advisory Council for the Monaco Digital Advisory Council under the Gouvernement Monaco.

Throughout their career, Myhr has demonstrated expertise in social media, digital marketing, and global marketing, and has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and industry collaborations.

Niklas Myhr, PhD obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Marketing, from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2002. Prior to that, they earned an MS degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from Linköping University. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold various certifications including "Learning LinkedIn for Students" from LinkedIn, "CSP® (Certified Speaking Professional™)" from the National Speakers Association, "Inbound Certification" and "Inbound Marketing Certification" from HubSpot Academy, "Designing and Delivering Executive Education" from Babson College, and "Certified Virtual Presenter" from eSpeakers.
