Mike Waters

Mike Waters is a seasoned expert in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Proposals, Incentives, & Portfolio Analysis at ChargePoint since February 2016. In this leadership role, Mike oversees a team that develops winning proposals to market innovative EV charging solutions. Earlier positions at ChargePoint include Director of Customer Solutions, focusing on EV charging tenders for Fleet and Electric Utility deals, and Director of Utility Solutions, where initiatives expanded smart charging infrastructure for electric utilities. Prior to ChargePoint, Mike held significant roles at Duke Energy Corporation, enhancing distributed energy resources, and at Progress Energy, leading the strategic adoption of plug-in electric vehicles. Mike's early career includes experience in sustainability consulting and manufacturing at Corning Incorporated. Academic credentials include an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
