Chargeway® is a software platform, mobile app and communication solution for the auto industry designed to improve the electric car customer experience with “electric fuel”. Using colors and numbers, Chargeway® creates a simple identity for charging plug and power options offering industry stakeholders and consumers an easier way to understand how electric cars are charged. Chargeway® is at the center of an electric car industry coalition including electric utilities, auto dealerships, automakers, charging networks and governments. The resulting product is a communication strategy that explains electric car charging to mainstream consumers that is as easy to understand as buying "regular"​ gas in an internal combustion engine vehicle.
