Julian Maurice-Williams is the current Chief Financial Officer at Chariot Oil & Gas. Prior to this, they worked at Chariot Limited and BDO LLP. At BDO LLP, they were a Manager in the Natural Resources Group. In this role, they managed a high-profile client portfolio comprising twenty international companies of which eight were listed (main market, AIM and ASX), including one FTSE 100 company. Julian also project managed international group audits, which involved audit teams of up to fifteen professionals in multiple jurisdictions, keeping to tight deadlines so that their clients complied with their regulatory obligations. In addition, they advised on the implementation and design of systems and controls on expenditure for the construction of large overseas projects, necessary for the client to be compliant with strict US regulations (Sarbanes–Oxley Act).

Julian Maurice-Williams was educated at Rugby School, The University of Edinburgh (where they studied Chemistry), and the University of Buckingham (where they studied Economics). Julian is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and works for the ICAEW.

Julian Maurice-Williams reports to Larry Bottomley, Chief Executive Officer. They work with David Brecknock - Group Drilling Manager, Paul Breaden - Financial Controller, and Duncan Wallace - Exploration Manager.
