Stephen Griese has over 30 years of professional experience in software engineering. Stephen began their career in 1990 as a Java Developer at Siemens. In 1999, they moved to Imedium as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2001, they joined Vertex Inc. as a Senior Object-Oriented Java Developer and was later promoted to Principal Java Engineer and Engineering Lead. In this role, they directed a cross-functional team of eight engineers and rewrote a major subsystem to reduce memory and startup time. Stephen also architected a domain specific language to allow business analysts to write specifications. In 2021, they joined Chariot Solutions as a Software Engineer.

Stephen Griese obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fairfield University between 1981 and 1985.
