Co-founder and CEO at Charisma Entertainment

Guy Gadney has a strong background in the entertainment and technology industries. Guy is the co-founder and CEO of Charisma Entertainment, a company that uses machine learning to create interactive narrative experiences. Prior to Charisma, they co-founded and served as CEO of To Play For, where they combined storytelling and technology for interactive entertainment.

Gadney has also held leadership positions in various organizations. Guy served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Arts at the Old Fire Station, a charity-run culture hub. Additionally, they worked as a Mentor for Women in Brunel Engineering & Computing at Brunel University London.

Furthermore, Gadney has experience in research and automation in storytelling. Guy held a Research Fellowship at Bath Spa University, where they focused on the impact of automation on the entertainment industries.

Earlier in their career, Gadney founded and served as the Group Executive Director of The Project Factory, a digital media production company known for its interactive entertainment and healthcare products. Guy also held the position of President of the Board of Directors at AIMIA, where they led the transformation of the digital industry association in Australia.

Gadney has a proven track record in digital strategy and production. Guy worked as the GM of Digital Services at PBL Media, overseeing digital content activities for Channel Nine and ACP Magazines. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Content Production at Telstra BigPond, responsible for content strategy and production. Guy also played a pivotal role in the digital transformation of FOXTEL as a Senior Manager in itv development.

Guy Gadney attended the University of Exeter from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature. In 1991, they also briefly studied at the Universidad de Salamanca for a degree in Filologia espanola. Prior to their university education, they attended Westminster School in London from 1983 to 1987. Before that, they studied at Dragon School Oxford from 1979 to 1983.
