Susanne Wiegmann

Susanne Wiegmann is an experienced project manager and organizer in the fields of education, democracy promotion, and community engagement. Currently serving as a project manager at Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung since 2012, Wiegmann has led various initiatives, including the Business Council for Democracy and the "MITWIRKEN" program, which supports civic projects across Germany. Wiegmann also has a significant background in educational project leadership, demonstrated by roles such as project head for "Starke Schule" and "stark!" programs. In addition, Wiegmann's professional history includes roles at the Verband binationaler Familien und Partnerschaften, Europäische Jugendbildungs- und Jugendbegegnungsstätte Weimar, Bildungsstätte Anne Frank, Jugendwerk der Arbeiterwohlfahrt Hessen/Süd, and Internationales Bildungs- und Begegnungswerk IBB. Wiegmann holds a Diplom in Educational Science and Adult Education from The Philipp University of Marburg and has qualifications in systemic supervision and organizational consulting from IFS Essen.
