Tim Payne

Tim Payne is an accomplished Managing Director at Charles Clinkard since December 2008, where responsibilities include financial performance, strategy, and risk management for over 450 employees across multiple retail and eCommerce platforms. Notably, Tim navigated the Covid-19 pandemic, returning the business to profit shortly after. Previous roles at Charles Clinkard encompassed Trading Director and Merchandise Director, with a proven track record in managing significant change projects and supply chain oversight. In addition to their role at Charles Clinkard, Tim serves as a Non-Executive Director at Broadacres Housing Association and as Chair of the Trading Company and Trustee at Teesside Hospice, bringing expertise in governance and risk management. Tim’s early career includes significant merchandising roles at Debenhams and Disney Store, where strong results were achieved through effective planning and collaboration with designers.
