Paul Gregory has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as a Lieutenant and Shift Commander in the Patrol Division at the Charles County Sheriff's Office since December 2014. Prior roles at the same agency included Standards, Inspections, and Safety Officer, where responsibilities involved developing standards and conducting inspections. Paul Gregory's law enforcement career began in September 1995, with a previous position as a Police Officer and Detective, focused on major crime investigations. Prior to joining the sheriff's office, Paul Gregory served as an Officer in the U.S. Army from October 1989 to June 1994, holding various leadership positions in a Cavalry unit. Earlier professional experience includes data management at Mantech from May 1985 to October 1989. Paul Gregory earned a Bachelor of Science in History from Frostburg State University, and attended La Plata High School.

As a full-service agency, we provide all services associated with police departments and sheriffs' offices. We also operate the Charles County Detention Center. Our Headquarters is located at 6915 Crain Highway in La Plata and we operate District Stations in La Plata, Indian Head and Waldorf.
