Bryan Loyall has held various technical and leadership roles throughout their career. From 1997 to 2005, they co-founded and served as the VP of Technology at Zoesis Studios, focusing on artificial intelligence-based interactive media. Bryan then moved to BAE Systems, where they took on several roles from 2005 to 2014, including leading AI research and strategic direction. Loyall continued their career at RA Capital Management, LLC as the VP of Research Technology from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they are the Director of Technology Innovation and Principal Scientist at Charles River Analytics, leading AI research in a variety of areas like machine learning and intelligent systems.

Bryan Loyall completed their Bachelor's degree with Honors in Computer Science and Mathematics at Indiana University Bloomington in 1988. Bryan then went on to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in 1992, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same institution in 1997.
