Charles River Center
Kevin Salera has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector, predominantly in roles related to managing and overseeing operations. Kevin is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Charles River Center. Prior to this, they held the same position at The Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts from 2019 to 2021. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at The Arc of Bristol County, where they were responsible for various programmatic, administrative, and fiscal functions. Before that, they worked at The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Operational Services Division (OSD) as the Director of Vocational Services from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, Kevin has extensive experience at HMEA, Inc., where they held various positions, including Director and Director of Employment Programs/Transportation, from 2000 to 2013. Kevin also served as the Interim Executive Director at PRIDE, Inc. from 2005 to 2006.
Kevin Salera attended Stonehill College from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained their BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Kevin then pursued their MPA in Public Administration at Clark University from 2006 to 2011.
Charles River Center
The Charles River Center is a private, nonprofit human service agency headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, providing employment and job training, residential homes, day habilitation, and recreational programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. Founded by a group of parents of children with special needs in 1956, the mission of Charles River has always been to improve the quality of life by helping each individual with a developmental disability achieve his or her highest possible level of independence so that he or she can fully participate, benefit, and become a contributing member of the community. The Charles River Center serves over 950 families from many communities including Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Newton, Dedham, Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, Framingham, Natick, Westwood, Dover, Waltham, Roslindale, Hyde Park, Roxbury, Watertown, Quincy, Norwood, West Roxbury and many more.
