Charles River Center
Samantha McGilvray is an experienced educational and vocational coordinator currently serving as the Pre-ETS Coordinator at Charles River Center since July 2018, where responsibilities include developing and implementing curricula for Pre-Employment Transition Services. Previously, Samantha held roles as a Case Manager and Life Skills Coach, managing stakeholder communications and facilitating skill-building activities for individuals. In addition to work at Charles River Center, Samantha has been an Acrobatics Instructor at Express Dance and Acrobatics since 2007, teaching acrobatic skills to students aged 3-18. Previous positions include Front Desk staff at Crunch Fitness, Solutions Group Leader at Franklin Public Schools Lifelong Learning Institute, Language Assistant at Académie de la Réunion, and Orientation Advisor at Roger Williams University. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, Sociology, and French from Roger Williams University, earned in 2013.
Charles River Center
The Charles River Center is a private, nonprofit human service agency headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, providing employment and job training, residential homes, day habilitation, and recreational programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. Founded by a group of parents of children with special needs in 1956, the mission of Charles River has always been to improve the quality of life by helping each individual with a developmental disability achieve his or her highest possible level of independence so that he or she can fully participate, benefit, and become a contributing member of the community. The Charles River Center serves over 950 families from many communities including Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Newton, Dedham, Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, Framingham, Natick, Westwood, Dover, Waltham, Roslindale, Hyde Park, Roxbury, Watertown, Quincy, Norwood, West Roxbury and many more.
